Region II Release Boundaries
Region II Juvenile Detention Center is a secure juvenile facility operated by Nez Perce County Justice Services. It is not a wing of the adult jail. The official facility description says it serves counties in Idaho's Second Judicial District and certain tribal and Washington partners. That regional role means the agency that placed a young person may not be the Nez Perce County adult detention system.
Juveniles are deliberately omitted from the sheriff's adult In Custody report. An absent name therefore says nothing about whether the young person is detained, released to a parent or guardian, transferred, returned to another county, or placed through a court-directed program. Do not search or publish a juvenile identity as though the adult PDF were a release archive.
Confirm Region II Release
The correct starting point is the agency with legal authority to disclose the requested information. A parent, guardian, attorney, court-authorized representative, or other lawful requester may have a route that is not available to the public. Ask which office holds the specific record. The facility may control secure-custody operations, while a juvenile court or referring jurisdiction controls the legal file. Separating those sources reduces delay and avoids a false conclusion based on an adult system that never included the youth.
Region II Facility Profile
Region II is documented as a sixteen-bed secure juvenile detention center. Capacity describes the facility, not a live population count. Its regional service area can include Second Judicial District counties and specified tribal or Washington partners. The center's purpose and population differ from the Nez Perce County Adult Detention Center, which publishes a current adult names-and-IDs PDF.
A juvenile may leave Region II through a court-approved return, transfer, placement, or other lawful arrangement. Research did not establish a public release feed, public roster, fixed release hour, or publicly reportable destination fields. Those gaps should remain gaps. They must not be replaced with adult-jail assumptions.

Idaho court access rules restrict juvenile material and other protected records. Ordinary public-record rules also do not turn all personal or juvenile information into open data. Region II Versus Adult Releases

Region II Tribal Jurisdiction
Nez Perce County also sits beside the sovereign Nez Perce tribal justice system. Region II may serve certain tribal partners, but that does not merge tribal police, court, probation, or detention records into the county adult roster. The identity of the placing authority remains important.
If the case arises under tribal authority, ask whether the Nez Perce Tribal Court or another tribal office controls the legal record. The tribal registry is limited to people legally required to register and is never a general juvenile custody or release list. Respect both juvenile confidentiality and sovereign jurisdiction.
